Your Solstice in Okiri | Cairn | 29th December

Our adventure is on the island of Obojima and it’s time for another festival in Okiri village. Its the colder months on the island and nobody expect to see snow - it never has before. But the village’s self-fashioned wizard Lebon has decided to change that. Old man Lebon is making claims that he will be showing the village something special for this year’s festival - a curio that will make it snow! Lebon says he is doing this to express his gratitude for the villagers and everyone is very excited. Nobody knows if Lebon made this curio or found it but everyone wants to see it in action and see the cold fluffy powder like substance that they’ve heard about in stories. In fact - its about to become the main attraction of the festival this year. But something is amiss and it is going to be up to your group to do something about it.

Cairn is an old school rules system with no character classes. It is a simpler system with faster character creation and rules that are easy to learn as you go. No knowledge of the system/game is required before playing. We will be playing a modified version of Cairn that is a bit more beginner friendly and your characters will go on an ghibili-esque adventure in this one-shot.

This is going to be a adventure where players will have to venture out in the island of Obojima, deal with the trappings of nature, encounter beauty and terror alike and ultimately find the curio needed to save the solstice festival. Expect a game where you will rely on being creative, enjoying a fantasy experience where things are a bit relaxed and taking the time to enjoy the little things.

This is a beginner-friendly one shot and no prior knowledge of the rules is necessary. Feel free to reach out to me.
