You knew you shouldn’t have trusted the words of that sleazy Dugham Dain. But you were in a bit of a rough spot, and a chance at something felt better than nothing.
No point in thinking about it now; you need to find some shelter fast. You didn’t picture this blizzard hitting while walking in the rain yesterday evening. At least you’re not alone; there seems to be one other person who heard about the same Solstice Showdown, who has made it here. One more person doesn’t really sound that comforting, but again, it’s better than none.
It’s barely visible, but what’s that dark spot up ahead? Is it a building? Maybe a tavern…
Solstice Showdown, an obscure underground tournament with a big prize hosted by some mysterious figure. That’s what you came looking for, and now you’re stuck in the snow. Maybe the tournament is somewhere around the corner. But your first goal is to get out of this blizzard, then hopefully find someone who knows more about it, and maybe even partner with them?
This is a beginner friendly one-shot with elements of combat, exploration and social interaction. The game will be at level 3. You can pick your character from pre-generated sheets at the table, or bring your own. Standard array or point buy system can be used to make your character, preferably using options from PHB, TCoE, XGtE, or MotM. Please feel free to reach out if you’ve any questions
