It was just past midnight when a letter from Lightkeeper Anais Bainbridge arrived at your doorstep. A body had been found in front of an abandoned drugstore in Highstone about an hour ago. They haven’t identified the body yet, but it appears to be drained of moisture. Your immediate presence is requested.
If Candela Obscura is to identify what happened, it has to happen soon. Once the Periphery gets involved, and it’s only a matter of time, any chance of figuring out the truth behind this unnatural death will be gone as well. It’s far too risky to leave that to chance, especially if any form of magick is involved. There are unseen players ready to jump at anything magick and alchemy related. Who knows what they’ll try to do with that knowledge?

Candela Obscura is a horror tabletop roleplaying game about occult investigators hunting down the dangerous supernatural forces making incursions into a world very much like your own.
You take up the role of a newly formed Circle member. You can be the Face or Muscle of the group, a Scholar or a Slink, or maybe a touch of Weird is what’s best suited for this paranormal secret society.
This is a beginner friendly one-shot with elements of investigation, paranormal, and social interaction. The combat in Candela Obscura tends to be less tactical, and more organic and story-driven. Characters will be created at the table. Please feel free to reach out if you’ve any questions
