Welcome to Jinglerock Junction, the town that puts the “extra” in extravaganza. While everyone else is jingling bells and roasting chestnuts, you’re jingling IOUs and roasting… your pride. Broke, bored, and slightly desperate, you’re about one stale crust away from declaring “bah humbug” on the whole solstice season.
But just when all hope (and your stomach) seems lost, fate comes knocking—literally. The brand-new, overly ambitious tavern, The Jolly Firkin, is in desperate need of “help.” Turns out they’re trying to cook The Aurora of Joys, a dish so rare, so legendary, that it makes dragon treasure hoards look like pocket change.
The catch? The ingredients for this culinary masterpiece are scattered across the wilds and guarded by… well, you’ll see. But hey, they’re offering actual coin for your trouble. What could possibly go wrong? (Hint: A lot.)
So grab your ragtag gear, prepare for kitchen catastrophes, and hope that “festive spirit” includes some immunity to food poisoning. It’s Critmas, baby, and you’re about to go from broke to broke, but covered in gravy.
Will you save The Jolly Firkin and its culinary dreams? Or will this be the solstice they talk about for all the wrong reasons? Either way, it’s gonna be one firkin’ wild ride.
This is a lighthearted, roleplay and exploration focused Daggerheart oneshot aimed to bring a little christmas joy to the end of year. Both D&D veterans and novices are welcome.
