Some of the resources mentioned/used during this workshop:
D&D Character Sheet
The most user-friendly solution to building a character is to use D&D Beyond - https://www.dndbeyond.com/
Especially for the basic set, which is free. You’ll have to pay for the Player’s Handbook if you want to use it to make all the core races and classes.
For a free version what includes the Player’s Handbook races and classes, you can check out: 5e Character Generator
Starter set characters
The handouts of pregenerated characters are from the official starter set.
RPG Personality
A modular system for how to think about character personalities, broken down as Primary Motivators, Emotional Disposition, and Core Traits.
Character Quirks
A table of quirks for characters that can be used for inspiration.
Honestly there are dozens of these available, you can just Google “RPG character quirks table/generator” and you’ll get many. Below is the one used during the workshop.
