A valuable ruby has been stolen from the Count of Treveris and it holds within it great power and the claim to heirdom of the Count’s rule. With his greatest warriors gone for another quest - the Count has called in his favors with you and has demanded you track down the thieves in the Shadowlands and get the ruby back… or die trying.

This is going to be a co-operative and conversation-driven and action-thriller adventure where players will have to venture out into the wilds, deal with the trappings of nature, encounter beauty and monstrosity alike and fulfill their oath (whether they wish to or not)
Cairn is an old school rules system with no character classes. It is a simpler system with faster character creation and rules that are a bit more brutal. No knowledge of the system/game is required before playing. We will be playing a modified version of Cairn that is a bit more beginner friendly and your characters will go on a dark fantasy-esque adventure in this one-shot.
